Albion Baseball Pitches in for Healthy Babies Day

Healthy Babies Day is an annual community event focused on education and providing the guests with resources to help raise their young ones.

Tristan Ellis, a junior pitcher from Fraser, Mich., said the Albion College baseball team did its part to help the community prepare for the event.

"Half of the team went to the First United Methodist Church and loaded up all of the supplies that they collected over the year," Ellis said, noting the donations filled almost a whole U-Haul. "Then the other half of the team went to the Marshall Opportunity High School where the truck was unloaded and supplies were organized in a classroom.

"We did this last year, as well, and the people who run Healthy Babies Day are very appreciative of the work we’re able to provide for them," he added. "It’s really great to be able to help them out so that they’re able to keep up this incredible event they put on for the community."
