Alma (15-12, 9-7)

The Scots started their week Tuesday (Feb. 19) with a win over Calvin College at home in the Conference First Round by a score of 68-63. Freshman guard Oretha Humphries (Detroit, Mich.) scored a career-high 24 points on nine-of-15 shooting while junior guard Hannah Thelen (Pewamo, Mich.) put up 15 points, all in the second half. Alma's season came to an end in the semis when they lost to top seed No. 7 Trine by a score of 79-43. Humphries led the way again with 11 points. The Scots end up with their most winningest season since 2003-04.

Calvin (12-14, 7-9)

The Calvin women's basketball team fell to Alma College 68-63 in the first round of the MIAA Tournament on Tuesday night at Art Smith Arena. Freshman Gabby Timmer led the Knights with 28 points and 14 rebounds for the firs-year player's 12^th double-double of the season.

Saint Mary's (11-16, 7-9)

The sixth-seeded Belles defeated Albion 58-42 on Tuesday night to make their first MIAA Tournament Semifinal appearance since 2012. Saint Mary's hit a season-high 12 three-pointers against the Brits. Jade Mosier had a game-high 23 points on 60.0 percent shooting from the floor, and Giavanna Paradiso collected her third double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-best 10 rebounds. The season came to an end for Saint Mary's in the semifinal round with a 75-36 loss to No. 8 Hope. Carin Kaminski led the Belles with eight points, and Paradiso added six points and six rebounds.

No. 7/5 Trine (25-2, 16-0)

The 2019 MIAA Women's Basketball Tournament Championship game between top-10 ranked Trine and Hope lived up to the billing, as the host Trine prevailed in the first-ever double-overtime game in MIAA women's basketball tournament history to defeat Hope Saturday evening, 70-65. Trine scored the final six points in the second overtime, with Montana Martin converting on a natural three-point play with less than 17 seconds to go to give the Thunder a four-point lead; Martin then added a free throw in the waning seconds for the final margin.
