Freshman Juliana Pullen (Ann Arbor, Mich. / Pioneer) assisted the Hornets to a 2-1 record, including a 6-3 victory over Adrian and an 8-1 win at Alma. Pullen went 5-1 over the week, losing only seven games in three matches. At No. 1 doubles, Pullen and partner Maddie Hurley earned an 8-2 victory over Calvin. Pullen went on to tally another point for Kalamazoo with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles. She earned her second No. 1 singles win over the week against the Bulldogs (6-1, 6-2). Pullen and Hurley beat the Scots 8-4 at the top doubles flight. Pullen concluded the week by sweeping her Alma opponent 6-0, 6-0.
