Sophomore Thaine Nederveld (Columbus, Ohio / Columbus Alternative) competed at the GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Open.  En route to winning the 3000m race, Nederveld broke the Calvin school record and also now leads the MIAA.  His time of 8:20.99 is currently ranked seventh in the country.
