2017-18 MIAA Year In Review - Men's Basketball

Among the highlights from the 2017-18 season:

Olivet ended a 45-year drought as MIAA Champions
by sharing the regular season title with Hope; the Comets earned the top seed and hosted the MIAA Tournament.

Hope avenged their regular season loss at Olivet
in the 2018 MIAA Tournament title game to earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Championship with a 106-94 victory. In the national tournament,
Hope advanced to the Second Round
after a 93-91 win over Augsburg in the opening round.
- Olivet's Jalen Adams was named the MIAA Most Valuable Player to headline the
league's all-MIAA team
; Adams went on to gather
All-America honors
and participated in the
2018 NABC Reese's All-Star Game
.
- National honors were earned by Adrian mid-season after their upset victory over No. 3 UW-Whitewater in December; the team was named the
NABC Division III Team of the Week
, while
Justin Webster was twice honored nationally
for his efforts.
