• Kalamazoo ended the 2018 MIAA season with a flourish, knocking off two MIAA tournament teams during the Hornets' final week. Kalamazoo upended Trine on the road Feb. 14, 70-63, before their season-finale win over Adrian Feb. 17, 77-58. Jimmy Paprocki (Sr., C, Berkley, Mich.) averaged 20.5 points per game on the week.
• Olivet defeated Hope Feb. 14, 70-49, to claim the Comets first MIAA title since 1973. In that game, Jalen Adams (Sr., G, Saginaw, Mich.) had game-highs of 29 points and 14 rebounds.
• Hope rebounded from their mid-week setback to Olivet with an 85-77 win over Albion Feb. 17. Coupled with Olivet's loss to Calvin, Hope shared the 2018 MIAA title with Olivet; it marks the 40th MIAA title for the Flying Dutchmen.
