The Adrian men's basketball team was recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Tuesday as the organization's NCAA Division III National Team of the Week.

Adrian improved to 5-2 on the season thanks to a 2-0 week against non-conference opponents. The Bulldogs defeated #3 UW-Whitewater 66-53 in neutral court contest Dec. 8, marking their first win against a top-3 non-conference program in team history. Adrian came back from nine-point deficit in the second half against the Warhawks to give UW-Whitewater their first loss of the season.

Adrian then added an 86-73 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran Dec. 9; Adrian’s 5-2 record this season is two wins away from matching last year's win total (7).

The NABC is in its first year of recognizing the top team each week for NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA men's basketball. To qualify, a program's coach must be a member of the national coaches organization.
