• Adrian, Albion, Alma, Calvin, Kalamazoo, and Olivet all ran at the Lansing CC Invitational Oct. 6. Alma's Chelse Can Spronsen (Sr., Jenison, Mich.) crossed the line in 19:08.4 for a fourth-place finish among college competitors and the top MIAA finish.

Alma tallied 78 points to finish fourth, one point behind second place Saginaw Valley State. Adrian took sixth, while Kalamazoo captured 10th. Calvin and Olivet placed 11th and 12th, respectively, and Albion took 15th in the 20-team field.

• Saint Mary's finished 16th at the Bethel Invitational Oct. 6, with Adele Edmonds crossing in 59th place.

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 9 was:

  - Chelse Van Spronsen, Alma

• In the Oct. 10 release of the USTFCCCA regional rankings, Hope and Calvin remained first and second, respectively, in the Great Lakes Region.
