- Along with Hope and Calvin, Albion's Allison Snyder competed at the 2017 NCAA Championship, placing 168th as an individual.
- Hope defended their MIAA title with a 20-point performance at the 2017 MIAA Championship. Hope crossed four of the first five runners, with Alexis Guttilla (21:58.0) pushing through late to take the individual title. Hope's Emily Hamilton, the 2017 MIAA Most Valuable Runner, took second (21.59.9) after being in the lead group for much of the race. Trine's Kyla Binfet (22:00.8) was steady throughout to finish third. Hope's Racheal Webb (22:01.4) and Alissa Frazee (22:10.4) rounded out the top five.
- Hope and Calvin finished 1-2 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional to earn automatic berths to the NCAAs. The MIAA had 14 finishers in the top 33 runners representing four institutions.
