• Albion pushed their winning streak to five matches with three MIAA wins last week, including five-set wins over Saint Mary's Sept. 19 and Alma Sept. 22.

• #6 Calvin rebounded from non-conference setbacks with two MIAA wins last week, including their 3-1 road victory against #20 Hope Sept. 23 to hold the top spot in the MIAA standings.

• #20 Hope earned two MIAA wins before their 3-1 setback against #6 Calvin Sept. 23. The Flying Dutch defeated Alma at home Sept. 19, 3-0, and hit the road Sept. 22 for a 3-0 victory over Kalamazoo.

• A 2-1 week in MIAA play for Trine moved the Thunder into the top half of the league standings, with a 3-0 hiccup at Alma Sept. 23 halting a perfect week.

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Sept. 25 were:

- Player: Sarah DeVries, Calvin

- Specialist: Grace VanHorn, Albion

• Earning Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Week honors Sept. 26 was:

- Sarah DeVries, Calvin

• In the Sept. 26 release of the AVCA Division III poll, Calvin stayed at #6 nationally, while Hope settled in at #21 in the country.
