Hope College's Kevin Cole Voted 2024 MIAA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) proudly announces Hope College's Kevin Cole as the 2024 Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year.

This prestigious accolade is a coaches vote based on the achievements of their colleagues both during regular- and post-season competition.

Cole was selected as the 2024 Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year after leading the Flying Dutch to their sixth-consecutive MIAA Championship title.

"It's an honor to be chosen for this award," commented Cole.  "Our conference has become very strong and I am very proud of both of my teams for how hard they worked this year.  Congratulations to all the other coaches on the many national qualifiers and to Josh for winning the men's title."

Under the leadership of Cole, four individuals and two relays were named to the 2024 All-MIAA First Team, including the 4x100m relay, the 4x400m relay, Sara Schermerhorn in the 400m dash, Rebecca Markham in the 10,000m run, Greta Robrahn in the shot put, and Amanda Timonen in the javelin.

Cole, a Hope College alum, is in his nineteenth year at the helm of both the indoor and the outdoor track and field programs.  He was previously named the 2024 MIAA Women's Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year.
