
Calvin University's Sadie Heeringa and Delaney Sall, along with Hope College's Ana Tucker, received 2021‐22 Academic All‐District® Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Team honors, as announced by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
The 2021‐22 Academic All‐District® Women’s Track & Field / Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student‐athletes for their combined performances in the competition realm and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
First‐team Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second‐ and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐June.
As a Chemistry and Psychology double major, Calvin senior Sadie Heeringa has a grade-point average of 3.84. Heeringa became a two-time All-MIAA honoree in cross country after her performance at the 2021 MIAA Championship.
Calvin sophomore Delaney Sall boasts a GPA of 3.86 in her studies of Spanish, Sociology, and Environmental Studies. Delaney Sall earned All-MIAA honors for her performances in cross country, indoor, and outdoor track and field. Sall notched a victory in the 800m run at both the 2022 MIAA Indoor and Outdoor Meets.
Junior Ana Tucker of Hope has earned a grade-point average of 3.79 as an Exercise Science major. She became a two-time All-MIAA runner following the 2021 MIAA Cross Country Championship. She finished first in both the 5000m run and the distance medley relay for All-MIAA recognition at the 2022 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
