Five women's track and field student-athletes from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) were recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as All-Americans after earning top-eight finishes at the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Trine junior Valerie Obear finished third in the hammer after throwing 51.86m. The third-place finish is the highest by a Trine women's track and field student-athlete in the program's NCAA history. This is Obear's first time receiving All-America accolades.
Hope sophomore Ana Tucker was named an All-American for her first time after finishing fourth in the 5000m run with a time of 16:40.66.
Junior Annie Needs of Calvin received All-America recognition following her sixth-place finish in the steeplechase (10:56.05). Needs is the fifth steeplechase All-American in Calvin women's track and field history.
Trine senior Evie Bultemeyer earned her fifth career All-America honor after claiming sixth place in the 1500m run with a time of 4:30.94.
Calvin freshman Delaney Sall earned her first collegiate All-American finish in the 800m run after clocking in at 2:13.70. Sall is the fourth individual in Calvin women's track and field history to earn All-America honors in the individual event.
Trine finished in 31st place with nine points, while Calvin and Hope tied-for-40th with five points each.
