Saint Mary's College's Dale Campbell Named 2024 MIAA Women's Tennis Coach of the Year

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. -- The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) proudly announces Saint Mary's College's Dale Campbell as the 2024 Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.

This prestigious accolade is a coaches vote based on the achievements of their colleagues both during regular- and post-season competition.

Campbell was selected as the 2024 Women's Tennis Coach of the Year after leading the Belles to the runner-up spot in the MIAA Tournament and a 6-2 record in league play.

“I am humbled to be named Coach of the Year," commented Campbell.  "I give credit to my assistant coaches and an amazing group of student-athletes that play with passion and determination for their team and each other!"

Under the leadership of Campbell, three student-athletes were voted to 2024 All-MIAA Teams including three-time All-MIAA honoree Alayna Campbell, and first-time All-MIAA players Evelyn Demblans-Dechans and Emma Kealy.

In his sixteen seasons at the helm of the Saint Mary's program, Campbell's squads have won at least ten dual matches thirteen times while boasting an All-MIAA performer.  In 2011, the Belles finished tied-for-third in the MIAA, marking the team's highest conference finish since 2006.  Saint Mary's has made the top-four tournament each of the past ten possible seasons.  This year was also the first time the Belles have made the MIAA Tournament Final since the top-four format began in 2011.  The 2016 season also saw the program recognized with the first-ever Belle to earn the MIAA's Karen Caine Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.
