
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. -- The Adrian College wrestling program earned its second-straight Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championship title.
The Bulldogs captured the conference title after sweeping their opponents, 4-0. Adrian opened the 2023-24 regular-season campaign with a 24-18 victory at Albion. The Bulldogs hosted the Scots for the second conference matchup and won 46-4. The third win was against league foe Olivet, where Adrian earned a 29-16 road victory. The Bulldogs wrapped up the season with a 33-6 win versus Trine.
Two Bulldogs concluded the conference schedule with a 4-0 record, including junior Zachary Platte at 157 pounds and classmate Blake Williams at 174 pounds. Platte was selected the MIAA Wrestling Athlete of the Week on November 6 to open the season.
Albion finished second with a 3-1 record, followed by Olivet in third place (2-2 MIAA), Trine in fourth place (1-3 MIAA), and Alma in fifth place (0-4).
