Around the MIAA

Adrian

Did not compete between Dec. 16-29. Adrian will begin the new year on Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Waynesburg Invitational.


Alma

The Scots fell to Penn College 32-16 and Mount St. Joseph 38-14 at the Mount St. Joseph Tri-Meet on Thursday (Dec. 19). Zachary Cooper (Chippewa Hills, Mich.) and Jayce Kuehnlein (St. Louis, Mich.) won both of their matches. Cooper dominated his opponent to an 18-0 win by technical fall. Two matches later, Kuehnlein would give Alma three more points when he won by decision 9-6. To finish up the dual against the Lions, Jacob Ransom (Traverse City, Mich.) won by pinfall 2:05 into the first round.


No. 25 Olivet

Did not compete between Dec. 16-29.

The Thunder competed at the Desert Duals and went up against three teams that were ranked in the top-10 in the national rankings at the time...Riley Rasler finished the event with a 2-1 mark with his victories coming by way of a major decision and tech fall...his lone loss was to UW-La Crosse's Grant Zamin, who was ranked third nationally by D3wrestle.com.
