WGCA Announces A Record Twenty-Seven MIAA Women's Golfers as All-America Scholars

Coral Springs, Fla. - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) recognized 1,401 women's golfers that have earned the honor of being named All-America Scholars.

A record 27 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's golfers from 7 programs have earned spots on the 2019-20 WGCA All-America Scholars Team. Of the 27 recipients, 14 are repeat award winners with Nicole Deweyert and Taylor Elley being recognized all four years. Olivet lead with seven members and Trine had five.

The criteria for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. The student-athlete must have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated (Division I and II only) or a minimum of 12 rounds for Division III only.
