Adrian
The Adrian College men's cross country team was idle last week, but will race this weekend at the Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio.
No. 25 Albion
The Albion College men's cross country team achieved a perfect score in a Friday meet against runners from Washtenaw Community College and Concordia University. Beau Brockett was the overall winner, reaching the finish in 28:18.73. He was followed by Nathaniel Jennings (29:01.75), Jon Haadsma (29:16.96), Alec Badgley (29:35.98), Chase Baumgarder (29:38.85), Zane Brooks (29:44.91), Devon Funk (30;06.52), Zach Reynolds (30:27.98) and Alex Harrell (30:39.90).
Alma
The men's cross country team finished fifth of 21 teams in the Lansing Invitational on Friday (Oct. 5) at Grant Woods Park in Lansing. Justin Jones (Cedar Springs, Mich./Cedar Springs) led the men (26:53.3) and placed 28th overall.
No. 8 Calvin
Calvin took fourth place with 150 points at Lansing C.C. Invite. Calvin was led by freshman Ryan Vreeke who took 18th individually with a career-best time of 26:23.
Hope
The Hope College men's cross country team placed 12th overall out of 25 teams in the Lansing Community College Invitational on Friday. The Flying Dutchmen scored a total of 300 points. Sophomore Jacob VanderRoest of South Haven, Michigan (Saugatuck HS) led the Flying Dutchmen with a 56th-place effort of 27 minutes, 31 seconds.
Kalamazoo
The Kalamazoo College men's cross country team finished 16th at the Lansing Invitational held at Grand Woods Park on Friday. Jackson Kelly posted the top time for the Hornets (28:53) to finish 116th overall in the 8K event. Preston Grossling finished in 29:05 while Caleb Patton came in at 29:16. Kalamazoo competes again next Saturday, Oct. 13 at Pre-Nationals at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wis.
Olivet
The Olivet College men's cross country team finished eighth at the Lansing Community College Invitational. Brad Thomas was the top finisher, as he placed 36th and covered the 8K course in 27:06.1.
