Albion's Bill, Calvin's Philipose All-Americans at NCAA Men's Cross Country Championships

Two MIAA men's cross country runners turned in All-American performances at the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships at Elsah, Illinois Nov. 18. 

Calvin's Andrew Philipose, who was third overall at the Great Lakes Regional the previous week, was the MIAA's top finisher with a time of 24:40.64 to take 16th place nationally. Andrew Bill of Albion also captured All-America honors with his 39th place finish, crossing in 24:59.64.

As a team, Calvin placed 12th overall in the 32-team field. Tyler Johnson was the second finisher for Calvin, placing 74th in 25:21.72.

North Central took home the team title with 57 points, as three runners were in the top seven to cross the line; UW-Eau Claire's Darin Lau was the individual champion, winning with a time of 24:03.59.
