On Thursday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced all-academic honorees for NCAA Division III student-athletes and teams. Members of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association were well represented on the listing, with seven men's teams, seven' women's teams, and 28 MIAA cross country runners earning honors from the national organization.

In order to be named USTFCCA All-Academic, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) and finish in the top 25 percent at their respective regional. For a team to be considered for this distinction, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The team must also have a minimum team GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale.
