LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Calvin men's cross country team wrapped up the 2016 season with a 19th-place finish at the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championship, held at Tom Sawyer State Park.
The Knights scored 468 points and were paced by Jordan Kramer's 14th-place finish, which was good for nine team points. Kramer crossed the line of the 8K event in 24:40.0, one minute behind individual champion Ian LaMare of UW-Platteville.
At the 2K mark, Calvin was on pace for an 11th place finish, but the Knights were unable to maintain its hot start.
Finishing second among MIAA runners was Albion's Andrew Bill, as the freshman finished 101st with a time of 25:23.7.
Calvin's team scorers included Andrew Phillipose (73 points), Zac Nowicki (98 points), Mark DeJong (140 points) and Nathan VanHaitsma (148 points).
