• Calvin earned their first two wins of 2018, traveling to Wisconsin to earn an 8-7 win over Marian March 8 before a 13-2 victory against Northland March 10. Michael Winkler (Sr., La Quinta, Calif.) scored what proved to be the game-winner against Marian.
• For the second consecutive week, Hope was a two-time winner, with a key 9-7 win over NCAA Tournament participant John Carroll March 8. Trailing 7-6 with just under 10 minutes remaining, Hope scored the game's final three goals; Rocco Mularoni (So., Hartland, Mich.) capped his five-goal performance with the game's final strike with 17 seconds left to play.
