
Both Calvin University and Hope College will represent the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) in the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.
Hope College (22-6), the 2022 regular-season champion and the 2022 MIAA Tournament champion, will face Wheaton (20-6) in the First Round on March 4. WashU (18-7) will hose the four-team pod, which also includes Cornell College (19-8). This will be the 28th trip to the NCAA tournament for the Flying Dutchmen and the fourth appearance under head coach Greg Mitchell.
Calvin University (20-8) will compete against Saint John's (23-4) in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament after receiving an at-large berth. The Knights will be hosted by Wis.-Platteville in a four-team pod which also includes Marian (19-8). This is Calvin's first appearance under head coach Bill Sall and the 22nd appearance in program history.
Sixteen first/second-round sites will be conducted March 4-5. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites March 11-12. The semifinals will be held on March 18, followed by the final on March 19. All games, except the semifinals and final, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions. The semifinals and final will be hosted at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
