Adrian (7-8, 1-3)
The Bulldogs finished the week 0-2 in MIAA conference play with a 75-61 loss to Trine and a 87-63 loss to Hope. Jeremy Kalonji finished the week with 29 points and 11 rebounds. With a 1-3 conference record, the Bulldogs look to get back on track with wins over Albion and Olivet in the upcoming week.
RV Albion (13-2, 4-0)
Albion went 2-0 for the second consecutive week to improve their MIAA record to 4-0 and extend their winning streak to seven games. Against Kalamazoo Jan. 18, Albion poured in 65 points in the second half - with four players scoring in double figures in the second stanza - on the way to a 109-94 home win. MJ Barnes came off the bench to score 26 points, while starting guard Jamezell Davis had a game-best 31 points. Albion also defeated Alma last week, 74-53, on the road Jan. 15. Quinton Armstrong and Caden Ebeling shared top-scoring honors with 18 points apiece.
Alma (7-8, 1-3)
Senior guard Ryan Stevens (Lowell, Mich.) scored 16 points in a 91-89 last-second loss to Olivet on Saturday (Jan. 18), becoming the 15th player in program history to score 1,000 career points. Senior center Zach Sinke (Grand Haven, Mich.) also had a career game against the Comets, scoring 28 points and pulling down seven rebounds. Alma also fell to defending MIAA champions Albion 74-53 earlier in the week.

Kalamazoo (4-11, 1-3)
Kalamazoo finished the week with a 1-1 record including a 108-103 win over Olivet and a 109-94 loss at Albion on Saturday afternoon. Ben Reiter led the Hornets with 45 points over the week and added 13 rebounds. Tanner Blyly posted 37 points and dished out 12 assists. Jarnard and Jack Smith added 29 and 25 points, respectively. The Hornets will continue MIAA play this week with a home match-up with Hope on Wednesday before heading to Calvin over the weekend.
Olivet (4-11, 1-3)
Olivet split two MIAA games last week. On Wednesday, the Comets lost 108-103 at Kalamazoo. Junior Chris Martin topped the team with a career-best 28 points. Junior Shawn Pardee scored 22 points. Freshman Britton Angell netted a season-high 20 points. Junior Eddie Thigpen contributed 16 points. Angell, Martin and Pardee each grabbed eight rebounds. On Saturday, junior Jared Long made a layup with 0.3 seconds left to lift Olivet past Alma, 91-89. Pardee finished with a team-high 26 points. Angell and Thigpen finished with 17 points apiece. Freshman Noah Wiswary added 10 points and had the assist on the game-winning basket. Pardee and Wiswary each pulled down eight rebounds. Martin dished out eight assists.
Trine (10-5, 4-0)
Defeated Adrian (75-61) and Calvin (81-78)...Langston Johnson led the team in scoring for the week with a 25.5 ppg average while shooting 61.3 percent (19-of-31) from the floor, including 70.0 percent (seven-of-10) from three-point range...also averaged 3.5 rebounds per game to go along with five assists and two steals.
