Albion Loses to Loras in NCAA Men's Basketball First Round

Despite a near double-double effort by Quinton Armstrong, the Albion men's basketball team lost in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship First Round March 1, 75-64. The loss ended the Britons' season at 19-9.

Armstrong posted team highs of 18 points and nine rebounds, but the Brits were hampered by a 38.7 field goals shooting performance. 

Also scoring in double figures for Albion was Nathaniel Collins, who came off the bench with Armstrong to score 12 points. 

Defensively, Albion held Loras to 75 points, lower than the Duhawks' season average of over 91 points per game. 

Loras (22-6) was led by a 19-point performance by Josh Ruggles. Loras benefitted from nine three-pointers to Albion's three, and also shot 20-of-24 from the free throw line in the win.
