• Calvin went 2-0 on the week and secured the second seed in the MIAA tournament for their efforts. In their season finale at #16 Hope Feb. 18, the Knights held the host Flying Dutchmen to just two overtime points to prevail, 65-62. Mike Siegel (Jr., F, Fremont, Mich.) led all scorers with 20 points. Midweek, Calvin tallied an 84-58 win at Adrian; Tony Canonie (Jr., G, South Haven, Mich.) led the Knights with 17 points and six assists.

• Trine tallied a pair of MIAA victories during the final regular season week of play to move into third place overall in the league standings. Against Albion Feb. 18, Trine's Will Dixon (Sr., G, Indianapolis, Ind.) went 11-of-11 at the free throw line on the way to a 25-point outing to help the Thunder to a 79-62 road win.

• Hope will host the 2017 MIAA Men's Basketball Tournament Feb. 24-25. Friday's first semifinal will feature Calvin and Trine at 5:30 p.m. followed by Hope vs. Alma at 7:30 p.m. The winners will play for the tournament title and an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
