Hope College Football’s Brady Howe Selected for D3football.com Preseason All-America Team

Hope College free safety Brady Howe has been named to the D3football.com Preseason All-America Team.

The senior from Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS) is a third-team selection on defense.

Last season, Howe led the Flying Dutchmen and finished seventh in the MIAA with 71 tackles, including 43 solo. Howe recorded a career-high 14 tackles at Coe College (Iowa).

A special education major, Howe claimed all-region honors from D3football and All-MIAA First Team distinction in 2021 after breaking up four passes and intercepting one pass.

The Flying Dutchmen allowed an MIAA-low 14.5 points per game and finished third in total defense at 297.1 yards allowed per game.

Hope finished the season with an 8-2 overall record, their fourth in a row with at least eight wins. The Flying Dutchmen also claimed a share of the MIAA regular-season championship with a 5-1 league record.

Hope kicks off the 2022 season on Saturday. Sept. 3, at 1 p.m. against Aurora University at Ray and Sue Smith Stadium.
