Alma College sophomore kicker Joshua Hernandez (Detroit, Mich. / Cass Technical) was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week following his performance versus Adrian on Saturday, November 5.

Hernandez not only had a career day for the Scots in their 30-10 victory over the Bulldogs, but he also broke an MIAA record in the process.  He kicked a 56-yard field goal to break the previous conference record of 53 yards, originally set in 1940 (also tied in 2019).  Hernandez was a perfect 3-of-3 on extra points and 3-of-3 on field goals at 35 yards, 50 yards, and 56 yards.

In league play alone, Hernandez leads the MIAA with his 56-yard field goal, 42 PAT made, and 43 PAT attempts.

Alma will host Albion in a matchup between two the undefeated teams for the conference title this Saturday, November 12, at 1:00 p.m.
