Albion's Justin Thomas Earns All-America Recognition From D3football.com

CANTON, Ohio -- Albion senior wide receiver Justin Thomas was tabbed a Fourth Team All-American by D3football.com on Friday, December 17.

Not only was Thomas deemed the 2021 MIAA Most Valuable Offensive Player, but he received All-MIAA accolades for the fourth time in his career.

Thomas concluded the season as the leader in receptions (67), yards (1,113), yards per game (101.2), yards per catch (16.6), and touchdowns (14).  He was selected to the D3Football.com Team of the Week on November 9 and to the D3football.com All-Region 4 Team on December 8.

The senior wide receiver led the Britons to the regular-season co-championship title and the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Championships.  Albion concluded the season with a 9-2 record, including a 5-1 mark in conference play.

The first D3football.com All-America team was awarded in 1999 and is, along with the AFCA All-America team, the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book. Players are nominated by schools in November and December for the D3football.com All-Region team, and are then considered for All-American.

The D3football.com All-American team honors just 11 on offense and 11 on defense per team, plus four special-teamers, with four teams named, one of them honorable mention.
