Four MIAA Football Players Receive a Spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District® Team

Albion College's Jack Bush and Hunter Williams, and Hope College's Brady Eding and Daniel Romano were all selected to the 2021 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® 6 Football Team.  All four players will advance to the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America®.

The 2021 Academic All‐District® Football Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.  First‐team Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐ and second‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐December.

Albion senior Jack Bush was selected as the All-District 6 quarterback.  Bush is majoring in Finance with a grade-point average of 3.91.  The Brit led his team to the 2021 MIAA co-championship title and the league's automatic bid into the 2021 NCAA Championships.  Bush is a two-time First Team All-MIAA honoree and was selected as the MIAA's Most Valuable Offensive Player last season.  He was also a member of the 2020-21 MIAA Honor Roll.

Punter Hunter Williams is a Kinesiology and Biology major at Albion and boasts a GPA of 3.89.  Williams was selected to the All-MIAA First Team last season and is a two-time MIAA Honor Roll honoree.  He was additionally selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week on October 26.

Hope offensive lineman Brady Eding has a 3.65 grade-point average as a Business and Classical Studies major.  The senior assisted the Flying Dutchmen to the MIAA co-championship title this season.  Eding was voted to the All-MIAA First Team this season and is a two-time member of both the CoSIDA Academic All-District® Team and the MIAA Honor Roll.  Additionally, Eding was one of 39 national semifinalists from Division III for the 2021 William V. Campbell Trophy®, the National Football Foundation's premier scholar-athlete award, last season.

Junior Biomedical and Bioelectrical Engineering major Daniel Romano boasts a GPA of 3.97.  The running back was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on October 26.  He was selected to the All-MIAA Second Team following his performance this season.  Romano is also a two-time member of the MIAA Honor Roll.

CoSIDA's NCAA Division III District 6 includes Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  Members of CoSIDA from the district vote on Academic All-District® honors.  Student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must have completed one full calendar year at the nominating institution to be eligible.
