
AUSTIN, Texas -- Hope College football player Daniel Romano was named to the Academic All-America® Second Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on December 16.
The junior running back boasts a grade-point average of 3.97 as a Biomedical and Bioelectrical Engineering major.
Romano led the Flying Dutchmen to the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) co-championship title with a 5-1 mark in league play.
Not only is Romano a two-time member of the MIAA Honor Roll, he was selected to the All-MIAA Second Team for the first time in his career this year.
Romano is the 12th Hope football player in program history to receive CoSIDA academic accolades.
