Sophomore attacker Julia Brown (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Forest Hills Central) played a pivotal role in leading the Flying Dutch to the MIAA tournament title, beating Albion 17-7 in the semifinals and Trine 20-8 in the championship game. The MIAA Offensive MVP, she totaled eight goals and five assists during the conference tournament. Last week's performance not only made Brown the conference leader in goals, with 64 for the season, but also marked her as the first Hope women's lacrosse player in school history to top 60 goals in a season. Brown's contribution also included three ground balls and an average 91.7 shots-on-goal percentage.
