Senior midfielder Hannah Heeren (Belmont, Mich. / Rockford) played a pivotal role in the Hornets' double victory week, a performance that was instrumental in the Hornets securing the #2 seed in the MIAA Tournament. Her leadership as a draw specialist was evident, as she had 17 draw controls across two games. In the team's overtime thriller against Trine, Heeren's contribution was the game-winning goal and 12 draw controls in that game alone. Heeren's nine goals, five assists, and ten groundballs throughout the week were crucial to the team's success. She currently leads the conference in draw controls (134) and goals (58) for the season.
