Senior pitcher Chase Balhoff (Commerce, Mich. / Walled Lake Central) played a crucial role in the Scots' victories over Bluffton and Trine last week. Balhoff was selected to start on the mound for the Scots in the non-conference game, pitching for three innings, striking out one, and securing the win.  In the series' first game against Trine, Balhoff came in as relief for five innings, striking out two batters and allowing only one hit. Balhoff's performance was instrumental in the Scots' overall success, as he gave up zero runs in eight innings of work and only scattered eight hits.
