Senior quarterback Josh Nichols (Franklin, Tenn. / Franklin) led the Hornets to a season-opening 42-10 victory over Overlin on Saturday. Nichols was 23-of-35 (.657) in passing with 298 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also added 17 yards rushing on three carries.
