Freshman Sara Schermerhorn (Traverse City, Mich. / Traverse City West) assisted the Flying Dutch to the 2023 MIAA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship title with two individual victories and two relay wins.  Individually, Schermerhorn won both the 100m dash (12.15) and the 200m dash (24.98).  She also competed in the second leg of the top 4x400m relay (3:54.92) and as the anchor of the MIAA record-breaking 4x100m relay (47.72).
