Freshman pitcher Debbie Hill (New Whiteland, Ind. / Whiteland) assisted the Thunder to the 2023 MIAA Softball Tournament title in her inaugural year on the squad.  Hill earned a 2-1 victory over Adrian and a 7-1 win in the championship game versus Calvin, pitching six innings in both games.  Hill concluded the 12 innings with 15 strikeouts and an earned-run average of 0.58.  She also finished the three tournament games with seven at bats, three hits, and two home runs, while slashing a .429/.636/1.429.
