Sophomore Karen Bekhet (Whitinsville, Mass. / Whitinsville Christian) competed at the GVSU Bob Eubanks Open over the weekend.  Bekhet competed in both the shot put and weight throw.  Her marks of 11.45m (shot put) and 12.11m (weight throw) rank her second and fourth in the MIAA standings, respectively.  Her weight throw was a personal record by over two meters.
