Senior Owen Guilford (Portland, Mich. / Portland) won the Ohio Northern Invite for the second year in a row in extremely dominating fashion, outscoring opponents 39-4 in match points.  He totaled two pins, a tech fall and one major in his four matches.  The field contained the top contender in the league and three of the top six wrestlers they need to beat at the NCAA Regional this season to qualify for nationals.  The contenders included two of last year's NCAA Regional Place winners (Derek Duvall of Adrian and Alex Hobbs of Mount Saint Joseph) and also had freshman standout Owen Frizzell of Heidelberg who is currently ranked sixth in the NCAA Regional.  During the tournament, Guilford met Frizzell in the semifinals and beat him 12-2, followed by a victory over Hobbs (who beat Duvall) in the finals by fall in 2:31.
