Senior guard Derrick Johnson (Pontiac, Mich. / Avondale) assisted the Comets to a 1-1 record over the week, including a 75-71 victory versus Eureka and just a three-point loss against Pomona-Pitzer (76-73).  Johnson scored 21 points vs. Pomona-Pitzer and 18 points versus Eureka.  In the last two contests, he totaled 12 triples, 10 rebounds, four assists, and a steal.  Johnson currently leads the MIAA with 25 triples made and is second with 17.8 points per game.
