MIAA Player of the Week - August 26, 2019
The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced the student-athlete selected as its Athlete of the Week, for the week of competition ending on August 25, 2019.
The MIAA Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by coaches following one week of competition, and selected by the MIAA Director of Media Relations.
This week's winner is listed below with their respective achievements during last week's competition.
MIAA Women's Golf Athlete of the Week
Lyndsey Welper, Trine

Lyndsey Welper started the 2019 fall campaign with a strong showing in the season-opening Trine Fall Kickoff Classic at Zollner Golf Course Aug. 23. Welper earned medalist honors with an even-par 72 to set a career low score to win the event by three strokes. Welper's round began with two pars followed by five consecutive birdies to set the tone in leading Trine to a third-place finish.
