FREELAND, Mich. - With nine MIAA championships to its credit for this season, Calvin has won the 2015-16 MIAA Commissioner's Cup all-sports award.
The Knights won the award for the third time in the last four years and 11th time overall with 131 points, 1.5 points ahead of Hope. Calvin won the men's all-sports standings by a half-point margin over Hope and the women’s all-sports standings over Hope by one point.
This year marked the second year of a new scoring formula for the Commissioner's Cup that awarded the same number of points for the MIAA champion in each sport, regardless of gender. It also marked the first year that men’s and women’s indoor track and field have been a part of the Commissioner’s Cup standings.

The Commissioner’s Cup (All-Sports Award) has been presented since 1934-35. Hope has won the award 35 times, followed by Kalamazoo 15, Albion 14, Calvin 11 & Alma 5.
