2018 MIAA Year In Review - Women's Cross Country

Among the highlights from the 2018 season:

- Hope crossed five runners in the top 10 slots on the way to a team score of 32 to win the 2018 MIAA Women's Cross Country Championship Oct. 27 at Eastern Hills Golf Club in Kalamazoo, Mich. The title was the fourth consecutive for the Flying Dutch.

- Albion's Cassie Vince won the 2018 individual title with a time of 21:29.7 to win by almost 50 seconds; she became the first-ever runner from Albion to earn Most Valuable Runner honors.

- Despite finishing fourth and fifth, respectively, at the 2018 NCAA Great Lakes Regional Nov. 12, Hope and Calvin received at-large berths for the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Albion's Cassie Vince was the top MIAA finisher, taking third in a time of 21:20.1.

- At the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships Nov. 17, Albion's Cassie Vince (10th, 21:21.2) and Calvin's Katie Diekema (16th, 21:33.4) earned All-America honors. It marked the first time since 2013 the MIAA had two All-Americans in cross country.
