Adrian

Idle until Sept. 15, when the Bulldogs will compete at the Tiffleberg Invitational.


Albion

Senior Cassandra Vince was at the front of the pack Saturday, even running against competition from Division I teams from Bucknell University, the University of Detroit Mercy and Oakland University.  A product of Amherst, Ohio, Vince was the first runner to reach the finish. She crossed the line in the 5K race in 17:46.1. Darby Kellogg, a first-year runner for Albion, also finished in the top 10. She completed her race in 18:39.3.


Alma

The Alma College women's cross country team finished 20th of 25 teams at the Calvin Knight Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 8) in their second meet of the season. Aubrey Hemstreet led the Scots, finishing in 20:25.1 for 90th place.


Calvin

Katie Diekema won the women’s 5k race with a time of 17:58.8, (18 seconds faster than the second-place runner) to regain her title from 2017. Michelle Koetje also finished in the top ten coming in ninth place with a 18:34.1. Calvin placed fourth overall at the Knight Invite with 149 points out of a field of 27 teams.


Hope

The Hope College women’s cross country team will begin their 2018 campaign Saturday, Sept. 15.


Kalamazoo

The Kalamazoo College women's cross country team finished 21st at the Calvin Knight Invite last Saturday. Lauren Arquette led Kalamazoo with a time of 19:49 to finish 73rd overall in the 5k event. Rachael Gallap posted Kalamazoo's second-best time of 20:36.


Olivet

The Olivet College women's cross country teams ran at the 2018 Calvin College Knight Invite at the Gainey Athletic Complex in Grand Rapids. The Comet women were 25th; freshman Anselma Barnett was the first Comet to complete the race, as she ran the 5K in 21:33.8.


Saint Mary's

The Belles placed 23rd at the Calvin Knight Invitational on Saturday morning. Adele Edmonds ran a 20:17.2 5k to pace the team while finishing 113th overall for 85 points. Brigid Conmy, Riley Swope, Gabby Russell, and Shanan Hamilton all scored for the team.


Trine

Idle until Sept. 15, when the Thunder will compete at the Wittenberg Invitational.
