A pair of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's cross country runners turned in All-America performances Nov. 17 at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships, held at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wis.

Albion's Cassie Vince placed 10th overall with a time of 21:21.2 on the 6K course, marking the third time in as many seasons an Albion cross country competitor garnered All-America honors.

Calvin's Katie Diekema finished her final collegiate cross country race with a time of 21:33.4 to take 16th place; it was a significant improvement on her 125th place finish in 2017.

It marked the first time since 2013 the MIAA had two All-Americans in women's cross country.

Also posting top 100 times in the 279-runner field were Trine's Evonne Bultemeyer, who finished 55th with a time of 22:13.2, and Hope's Emily Hamilton, who crossed in 2:23.3 for 78th place.

In team standings, Hope finished 24th with a team score of 555, while Calvin was close behind with 567 points to take 25th out of 32 teams. Washington-St. Louis won the team title over Johns Hopkins, 98-99, aided by individual champion Paige Lawler (20:55.0).
