Hope 19th, Calvin 31st, at NCAA Women's Cross Country Championships

Battling cold, wet, and windy conditions, 15 MIAA women's cross country runners competed in the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships at Elsah, Illinois, Nov. 18. Hope and Calvin, both team qualifiers with their 1-2 finishes at the Great Lakes Regional, placed 19th and 31st, respectively, at the season's final meet.

Hope's Emily Hamilton was the top MIAA finisher, crossing the line in 22:04.90 for 78th place overall. Teammate Alissa Frazee was 103rd with a time of 22:14.20. Calvin's top finisher, Katie Diekema, crossed in 125th place with a time of 22:24.50.

Albion's Allison Snyder, competing as an individual, finished 168th overall.
