Alma's Arnold Receives NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

Kaitlyn Arnold, a standout distance runner and Elite 90 Award winner in cross country in 2016 for Alma College, added to her impressive list of academic accomplishments with her reception of an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

Arnold's academic success parallels her performance in competition; an integrative physiology and health science major with a 4.0 grade-point average, Arnold qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships last fall after placing sixth in the Great Lakes Regional and was the runner-up at the 2016 MIAA Women's Cross Country Championship.

A native of Jackson, Mich., Arnold is the 12th student-athlete from Alma College to earn an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, which is a one-time $7,500 non-renewable scholarship. Arnold joins Hope's Aaron O'Meara and Kalamazoo's Grace Smith as fall recipients of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship from the MIAA.
