LEXINGTON, Ky. – Five Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association volleyball standouts garnered All-Great Lakes Region honors Nov. 8 from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Sarah DeVries, a junior middle blocker/setter for Calvin, was named the Great Lakes Region Player of the Year; joining DeVries on the region's 14-player team were teammates Anna Kamp and Kelsey Smith, along with Hope's McKenna Otto. Hope's Katie Rietberg received honorable mention.
The AVCA will announce All-America honorees next week and reveal the AVCA Division III Player of the Year prior to the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championships in Pittsburgh, Pa.
