• Albion's Monica Shuk (Jr., L/DS/Milford, Mich.) became the Briton's all-time leader in digs with a 14-dig effort against Hiram Sept. 15.
• #18 Hope posted a 3-2 record last week, which included a 3-2 win at Saint Mary's Sept. 13.On the weekend, Hope went 2-2 at the competitive Elmhurst Invitational, defeating Aurora and Elmhurst in straight sets Sept. 16.
• Kalamazoo notched their first two wins of the season, going 2-1 at their own Hornet Invitational Sept. 15-16. The Hornets defeated Anderson (Ind.) and Beloit by matching 3-1 scores on the weekend.
• After pushing #18 Hope to the limit in a 3-2 setback Sept. 13, Saint Mary's went 3-1 at the Illinois College Tournament, including straight-set wins over Lincoln Christian and Franklin.
• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Sept. 18 were:
- Player: Nicole Lukens, Saint Mary's
- Specialist: Sophie Hackett, Hope
• In the Sept. 19 release of the AVCA Division III poll, Calvin dropped to #6 nationally, while Hope sits at #20 in the country.
