Kamp, Lodewyk, DeVries Reap AVCA All-America Honors

This week, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) named its honorees as both All-American performers and the 2017 TeamSnap/AVCA Division III Player of the Year.

Calvin's Anna Kamp (Jr., MH, Orland Park, Ill.), a First-Team All-America selection for the second consecutive season, was named the 2017 TeamSnap/AVCA Division III Player of the Year at a pre-NCAA Championship banquet Wednesday.

For the year, Kamp posted a .281 hitting percentage on the way to 4.16 kills per set. Kamp also added 2.35 digs and 0.41 blocks per set for the Knights, who advanced to the National Quarterfinals.

Also earning All-America honors for Calvin were Jenna Lodewyk (Sr., S, Villa Park, Ill.) and Sarah DeVries (So., MH, Grand Rapids, Mich.), as both were named to the AVCA All-America Second Team. It marked the fourth time Lodewyk was an All-American by AVCA, while it was DeVries' first-ever national honor.
